Finding the Correct Record Office
Use the record’s subject to choose the custodian. The linked directory pages identify the appropriate channel and source-specific limits:

- Regional historical collections: use City Directory.
- One name with corroborating records: use Resident Lookup.
- Office-level orientation: use Unity Township Records Offices.
- Defined Township agency records: use the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law channel with the responsible custodian.

The Township’s official Right-to-Know notice says requests go to its Agency Open Records Officer. For deeds, contact the Westmoreland Recorder of Deeds, 40 N. The Recorder, court clerks, Elections Office, and Register of Wills maintain separate channels and can explain only their own record series.
